Cold Winter.

'No one knows what it means, but it's provocative'
K.W

Hello my Dears; I am so delighted that it's December ! I just a-do-re this month. Okay everyone guessed that it's all about Xmas right ?
So I know that in France most of us don't like that spirit beginning to be too much of a marketing product but seriously I just don't care, cause Jesus b-day or not, it is so my favorite celebration haha !
The tree, the biscuits, the warmth inside and cold outside, even the cup of tea tastes better in December ! And of course, the gathering - still when its number of attended people are going down with the years in your family , I know how it is... Christmas spirit still here and you can not escape its magic, haaaa love it.

Yeah this me saying yummy to the fruits in front of me; btw; lol.

With my colleague Olivia (yes from the new store I work in!); we decided to pass through this little alley market where it was not at all Xmassy but to keep the magic going I will require you to imagine! Haha.
See like I'm feeling super funny and smiling these days... thinking : hoo what's gonna happen next ?
No well I have to say I am not always into a sorrow-mood, kind of i-always-think-about-the-world-general-issues all the time; I am also a very "living" soul !
But I know how smiles can hide problems underneath; well for the moment I feel just fine so let's keep it going shall we! ;)

Make a wish. Take a train. Live and go. Then come back. And, do it again?

"But a: A thug changes and love changes
And best friends become strangers, word up"
Nas

Hi Dears! Yes I changed that much that even my playlist has been pimped and renewed...
Outch!
That is so weird knowing that I was, or my ears were may I add; a rock addict: no really hip hop hater but not that far... Hun hun, now I have to admit I changed and grew , I should rather say; that I started to listen to Hip Hop music, (I mean it in general stuff that I wasn't able to listen to entire songs of that before...) and I think it is very much a good thing to enlighten and enlarge my hearing capacities !
From all rock roots, to blues, classical (mostly in Winter time - don't ask me why haha), country (mainly in summer time - still don't ask haha), and now some bit of US hip hop and even R'nb (omg this one I would neveeeer thought about earlier in time!

My teardrop gauge earring is from Pirate Piercing
My blush powder from &Other Stories (cf. Canvas Taupe)

Turtle Neck Knit Jumper from Zara
Boyfriend Low Waist from H&M
Burlington Socks from H&M
Adidas Stan Smith

Now I am aware and I know it's odd and perhaps more than only a few from you who dared to tell me what they think are: whether sad from the vintage going away and being that confirmed by this new playlist playing in my ears; or maybe only thinking that I am turning away from some interest I may had raised, but clearly let's be clear (redondance!): I am still the same.
You know why? It is not what apparel I choose or what social envelope I want to fit in that is changing me from the essence of my being...
No, I am still the same Harry Potter girl, who lives to laugh, who thinks a bit too much even for simple facts, who forgets her schedule (damn it Lorna) who wants to be back home before midnight and who chose to spend her B-day not in a big party where I could have hypothetically found a new lover, but rather stay with best friends speaking about anything and everything in a small restaurant where some Magician came to our table to do tricks! This I will always remain; in a 50s frock or in a pair of blue jeans.

But I believe that in a Life; you can live several ones. Just to build you up.
By the way, I had a very enjoyable Birthday thanks to everyone who had been there, and those who wished me a happy day on Insta !

I think it is one of the first times on the blog that you can see me with nearly "no" make up on ...
Not too awful I hope! I like the fact that I "accept" my face when it's more resembling to what it is ; in real.

Oh and the outdoor outfit!
(yes cause we do where a coat in Paris; those last week were warm but let's not extrapolate the temperature haha. And we do have a bag. Of course, we do.)
Coat H&M (it may be in sale now...)
Knot Bag from Zara

Leave my Body.

Hi Loves !
Leaving Brussels tomorrow... I always have such a blast. Customers are nice, people organizing the International Tattoo Con too: so that's perfect.
Even if I had a tiny situation at the start... It's one of those times when you trust enough the website of a hotel to think it will be the same... but jeez it was awful.
A friend of mine told me then that this hotel is like for the people cheating on their partners and all. Oh great.
so very happy I changed ! haha

Whenever you're planning a trip to Brussels do not go to the Queen Ann Hotel! I don't even want to waste time putting up their link, ugh.
Thought it will be a bit vintage... Well seems that I prefer my new 29 floors big 4* hotel , yes I do !

I am very thrilled to present you this new series from Marion Colombani perfect French photographer and make up by Bellinda .
It speaks out my new way of styling up myself in which I feel like I really fit in ( after Tomato Soup post consideration) .

Coat: H&M Trend (Superior products available on few selected stores)
White oversized top: Uterque (from my Barcelona Haul !)
Zara Trousers (also from Spain)
Pull and Bear fake leather slippers (and ... again !)

Well, on this brand new start for me I wish you all a very happy and crazy (otherwise not funny) week to you all!

Love;
Lorna

Tomato Soup.

Today it's been a pretty shitty day weather in Paris oh god.
So I thought well, let's britghen this all with very luminous colors of this end of August photoshoot!
Also, I'd like to chat about something (yes I know you're thinking what again is she gonna lecture us about haha): I told you I wanted to try some new way of dressing up right ?
Well, that's not only because I want to quit the vintage gal look I had; I of course want to preserve it for my grieving but I also forget to mention my body changed.

10 years ago now, I had some hard weight issues and was very slim even though it wasn't completely on purpose (of course it was, but at the time I didn't know about this). I never mention this in any conversation and even when I hear about eating disorder I never speak about me. Just like it never happened. But yes it did. And I know , whatever you do to your body it always keeps in mind everything. Your body is like a diary , so treat it well.
Easier to say than to apply I know.
During these 5 last years I haven't noticed I was changing.
Trying to vanish this old part of me, not to let it come back I started to be different; I started to have CURVES coming all around me. I was first a bit freaked out because I didn't know this girl but then I thought "oh thats very pin-up-ish!"
And yes , it is. So let me now, come back to 5 months ago, after living these 5 years in those curves, loosing my beloved it all came back again.
The first few days I haven't feed at all. I wasn't even sick. I knew that the most important when you don't eat is to at least drink. You then notice that Water is all our birth place and we couldn't live without.
But yes , indeed this feed less diet had to come to an end.
So I choose some new diet. Not so new I should say.

I didn't accept that I was becoming a vegetarian when I was with her (because I was always speaking of it in her name; and now that I think of it people must think that I never spoke for myself, shame no?) but yes I was. Now, I should maybe call me a pesci-vegetarian cause I still eat some fish, but no "bloody" meat in me anymore. I don't want to speak about the diet cause every diet is strictly private and I think those days too many people follow stuff that they think are cool but would perhaps regret it later, only to follow some trend.
So with this new way of eating, I lost weight, and lot of my muscles but I do have new ones coming...
I said goodbye to the big muscles (discreet but bigger though) that I had with red meat, and now I'm like we say in French "avec des muscles plus secs" meaning flatter and grease-less muscles haha.
This , influence on my whole body. I haven't been looking at my proper weight but only by sizing I was a UK 10 sometimes 12 and I now wear 6/8.

This is NOT at all a post about: wow I've done it, look at me, blabla. No it's about; I changed and I don't feel like the pin up clothes fit me anymore despite my ways of trying.
I feel more comfortable in a new style. It is sad a bit, it's a part of me going away.
But I'm pretty sure that if it's a real part of me , it won't go far.

Dress from PURRFECT KAT
Bag vintage thrift
Shoes: Celine Paris ; vintage

I leave you now with old pictures of me from The Tattoorialist book that you can order from la Fnac I believe, when you can see loads of tattooed personalities. Very interesting book I may add!

Cheerioh,
xxx
