Dim Light.

I wrote a lot about my trip to Barcelona, on the social networks (personal Facebook, Facebook page, and of course Insta (@lornasharpofficial ) ) but I have forgotten to do this story telling here. So never too late!
Everything went well on my arrival at the Barcelona Airport, got a taxi to go straight at my hotel where I was supposed to do this check-in very quick as on my other Tattoo Convention trips, I have to set up my booth and get my "avoiding queue" pass so that on Friday everything goes well.
I first have to say that I was again so surprised that the taxi there are so cheap (no one tells them please haha) whilst I was thinking again of that taxi I could have "ordered" to lead me to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and which would have been like more than 150 €...
Then when I saw my hotel; I was so telling myself "Oh Lorna, sometimes you rule." Hahaha.
No seriously , when you entered the doorway it's literally magical because of that "Harry Potter" look of the hotel hall. Well, not as much as one of my fave hotel in Copenhagen but the SB Plaza in Barcelona, was sparkling in my eyes, because of the little tree tronc sort of wood table and comfy velvet couch, plus the massive huge library surrounding the walls.

So, these photos has nothing to do with Barcelona obviously cause taken in France - but it has this little light that I haven't loose during my whole stay here.
I saw a new area from this town (to be honest it was my 3rd trip to Barcelona, and it's curious how it was so different from the others). Not because I was alone this time, but because I was ready to see something new.

I had a very nice Convention, met some a nice team of barbers and even though it was difficult for me to be understood I am so proud of myself that I have done it.
One of the barber team (actually not a barber at all, he was) , made me think twice about what I do and who I am. Because I so often forget that travelling reveals a new "us", and it's true that facing it alone is some kind of proof that I held a lot of strength. I use to think it's normal but most of people don't travel if they're alone. They don't face people who doesn't know a single word of what you're saying. They haven't got this power to assume who they are and to show it to a bunch of crowd totally unknown.
I so often forget that. And I realized I have to be more grateful and proud of who I am , this can only make me (feel) better.
So, if you too feel a bit down and happen to face some hard stuff then just think twice... You're still here right ? I'm pretty sure you do some great stuff which you can be proud of. You just don't notice them yet. But when you'll do then life is gonna be way... simpler.
That's Positive Minded Attitude.
That's my motto.

For this photoshoot with This Little Sweet Hush ;
I wear:

  • an oversized shirt and Mom Jeans from H&M
  • Birkenstock

That's all for now folks!
Love,
Lorna

Everybody's Blues.

'I'm gonna have a good time, travel all the world I see
I'm singin' everybody's blues, 'cause everybody's down on me'

Johnny Winter

A glimpse of an early 60s starlet? The Cadillac is missing?
Nope ! This is the image, according to me of actresses , of stars and starlets.
Now , I've been lately into a nest of stars ... In fact, I've been spying on them during my trip to Cannes for the Festival ...
(Just so you know those pics have been shot in Paris not Cannes, though)

Outfit:

Summer Blouse from StutterinMama, Etsy
Midi Skirt (Topshop) from Ebay
Heels by Zara
Head Scarf from Paperdolls boutique, Paris
Sunglasses from Mango (old)

When I say spying it is sarcasm. I couldn't do such a thing. My fiance and I , wanted to do like everybody There, cause of course, to see a familiar face is always funny!
But when I look at the Way people "enchained" their stepladder Well ... I just cant fit into the crowd. I mean, people are mad , right ?
Are They thinking : we're Gonna steal their ladder to see celebs better than them? Or yelling the celebrities names will succeed in an answer such as "oh cool you recognize me?So how 'bout we'll have a drink together?"

I am not blaming them because seriously it is funny to glance at this crowd. But I don't know...it is just weird.
It 's like humans were supposed to live in a total heriarchy. There is What we can call the legal heriarchy, like respecting your parents or even notice some autorities around us. So, why adding some more?
I dont know. Why can't we just stay at the first level:
"Oh interesting person, I like this guy." And then that's it.
Maybe because humans are passionated by nature.
Huh.
Well, that brings Hope.
I believe.

Anyhoo, Cannes was a great trip and I enjoyed the stay. I had so Many cliché in my head about this part of South-France but it was actually fantastic.
I even even put some photos on my Instagram, if you wanna drop by.

Fluffly winter coats #2

So do you remember MOUMOUTTE ?
Yes, you do.
Well Thats not exactly the same, but its kind of in the move that I get these days , and I really adore it.

You might have notice that the 60s are back. Well, for a 40s lover like me, its ashame but anyway i think  we could all get something new by mixing styles, even when they're vintage ! And that makes you "unique".

I bought a lovely coat that I wish I could show you -so that means hopefully a new streetstyle shooting soon-, and by buying it, I made a big mistake. I just realize my fiancée might have bought it for my Christmas present... Will find out in two days now !

The thing cool with this type of coat is that , you can wear the MOUMOUTTE on or not, and it still look wonderful. I really love the fact that there are round buttons to fix and you can't deny Victorienne looks so great here.
The make up was made by Dita Make Up, the clothes are from Her Name is Rita , and the photo by the fab Ewa Cieszkowska. Of course, I made the hair !
Details on Cherry Crown.

I love that the sixties coats could be in this material, whether simple like the white one or a bit tweedy.

The Tara Starlet ones are just simply magnificent. I might buy one , one day ... ;)

What do you think do you like it ?
xoxo,
Lorna

Santa #2

(English translation underneath)

Sorry for the cropped picture guys...

English /

So... I have made a big mistake. Talked about how pretty you should look, which kinda dress, your tree, the make up... But I forgot the wish list !
How dare I.
Anyway, the good thing is, despite asking your family to offer you everything you want, that you can even treat yourself all by yourself.
How?
There are now what we call un calendrier de l'Avent in French, I don't know what it's called in English (because I always celebrated Christmas as a mix -Papa British and Maman Frenchie).
Each day you have a chocolate... But instead of it, on the website of your favorite brands you can check out for the gifts they give you...
Discounts, new offers... They try to make the end of the year inspirable and I like it !

This is an example of a French brand , a bit dark but Interesting... Voriagh. I assumed lots of its items are Vegan, which is a good point, well at least this crazy hooded poncho is 100% vegan.
So go and check it out!

Sir-cle.

Too Many interesting trends I want to talk about this winter , but let's face it I do like them so I dont care I'll post and re-post about it.
After curiousity tendancies, and scottish patterns, Forgot to mention something really Nice and Simple on the producted effect.
The Circle Skirt !
Okay I even do like the name. Well, in général I like when in fashion you have funny names, for something meant to be serious ... Pencil skirt, bat sleeves...
Anyway, I love them cause they're not mini and have this retro effect I love.

Further more, you can even make them by yourselves! I'm Pretty sûre There's sewing kit and everything available on Etsy. The main thing is to cut as large cloath  as to have a big pizza shape, and a Tiny Hole for your waist in the middle.
I wont try. I'm such a mess, sewing and all. But Thats Pretty much of it.

There's picture from Designers collection, I loved.
Dolce&Gabbana even in l'idée religions patterns I liked, but I do think that everyone Will agree on the fact that overcover the cloath is a good thing, if you cant really focus on the shape of the clothes ...
I dont care! I even think some of it are available in Topshop... Gorgeous looks are posted on Vogue. It, so sorry for the bad quality I posted to illustrate.

So Thats Pretty it. Circle skirts. Do you believe that Vinyl could be use in that glamourous way? Ill love it , its the best way to use this material, I reckon.
Here, a last photoshoot I make With my Harstyling Concept CHERRY CROWN for Sas Terpstra Photographer.
The model is Still Victorienne, stylist Gemma B. And Make up Artist Aurélie G.
Enjoy!

Androgynous

As in Joan Jett's famous song,
Androgynous
My love's not predetermined by a gender.
I wanted to present her today as the most beautiful woman and unique most of all.

It's perfect when you find the one, who can understands you on so much subjects.
To every one , who found "it" (the Four-letter-word , of course... L-O-V-E, you guys !), NEVER let it go.

Two first pics are from Thibault Chasta Photography.

Satchels.

It seems to be the real come back of satchels isn't it ? Not only for our teachers in secondary school... I cannot erase this memory from my mind ! But fashion has taken it into account, they're discreet, elegant, and handy that's cool.

Clarisse Foucaud took these pictures of me with mine from Topshop, Copenhagen, DK.
