Little Fly // ZUIT fw collection

Quick view on some lookbook I did for the designer Steph Verano.
I loved the different textures she used, and the warm winter colours ... Dear how I miss winter when it's boiling summer outside !

Dim Light.

I wrote a lot about my trip to Barcelona, on the social networks (personal Facebook, Facebook page, and of course Insta (@lornasharpofficial ) ) but I have forgotten to do this story telling here. So never too late!
Everything went well on my arrival at the Barcelona Airport, got a taxi to go straight at my hotel where I was supposed to do this check-in very quick as on my other Tattoo Convention trips, I have to set up my booth and get my "avoiding queue" pass so that on Friday everything goes well.
I first have to say that I was again so surprised that the taxi there are so cheap (no one tells them please haha) whilst I was thinking again of that taxi I could have "ordered" to lead me to Roissy-Charles de Gaulle and which would have been like more than 150 €...
Then when I saw my hotel; I was so telling myself "Oh Lorna, sometimes you rule." Hahaha.
No seriously , when you entered the doorway it's literally magical because of that "Harry Potter" look of the hotel hall. Well, not as much as one of my fave hotel in Copenhagen but the SB Plaza in Barcelona, was sparkling in my eyes, because of the little tree tronc sort of wood table and comfy velvet couch, plus the massive huge library surrounding the walls.

So, these photos has nothing to do with Barcelona obviously cause taken in France - but it has this little light that I haven't loose during my whole stay here.
I saw a new area from this town (to be honest it was my 3rd trip to Barcelona, and it's curious how it was so different from the others). Not because I was alone this time, but because I was ready to see something new.

I had a very nice Convention, met some a nice team of barbers and even though it was difficult for me to be understood I am so proud of myself that I have done it.
One of the barber team (actually not a barber at all, he was) , made me think twice about what I do and who I am. Because I so often forget that travelling reveals a new "us", and it's true that facing it alone is some kind of proof that I held a lot of strength. I use to think it's normal but most of people don't travel if they're alone. They don't face people who doesn't know a single word of what you're saying. They haven't got this power to assume who they are and to show it to a bunch of crowd totally unknown.
I so often forget that. And I realized I have to be more grateful and proud of who I am , this can only make me (feel) better.
So, if you too feel a bit down and happen to face some hard stuff then just think twice... You're still here right ? I'm pretty sure you do some great stuff which you can be proud of. You just don't notice them yet. But when you'll do then life is gonna be way... simpler.
That's Positive Minded Attitude.
That's my motto.

For this photoshoot with This Little Sweet Hush ;
I wear:

  • an oversized shirt and Mom Jeans from H&M
  • Birkenstock

That's all for now folks!
Love,
Lorna

Paris.

Photos by Romanian Photographer Ioana: http://rufflesforbreakfast.com

I oftenly say I dont like Paris. Even though ... I work every day here.
Why , you'll tell me ?
Well the smell mostly, the angry people, but mainly the smell and this feelings of looking forward to come home to have a bath.
Not because its big Town , you know What they say about big towns... No , London is not like it, Copenhaguen is not like it, i dont know about New York, I couldnt compare, but Montréal isnt either.
Maybe Barcelona, but they have the excuse of the weather, worst in the warmth.
But among all the facts that make me dislike it, I have to admit I love working there.
As I came from the suburbs it makes me my little fresh air of half open-minded people, nothing to do With the narrow I can cross on my way here.
Some girls just gave me a bad look Again earlier in the train, and were asking each other if I was serious about being dress as I was.
I closed my ears and shut my eyes, and listen to my Music.
Thats all I have to do.
I'm tired.

But I dont care, anyway this lovely trend is taking our hearts, ladies and this is why through my differents jobs I wanted to share my vision of it.

2014 Plans

(English translation Underneath)

I must tell the fringe was hard to get rounded as the haircut of the model is really punk-like !

The team is Jerome Dantelespagnol photographer,
Model is Marine DL,
Assistant Photo is Sophie Boss,
Hair by Cherry Crown.

Do I have some better resolution to hold this year ?
I dont really, I cannot say I will quit smoking or something else, cause I just don't drink, don't smoke, I don't have a problem with food, living with a vegeterian is enough healthy. My eyes keep working , halfly, but still they re here, and I got a work that makes me happy.

So what else ?

What else, well I profoundly want to move out of France..maybe one day not far from now, all this could be possible. Who knows in 2014 maybe ?

Fluffly winter coats #2

So do you remember MOUMOUTTE ?
Yes, you do.
Well Thats not exactly the same, but its kind of in the move that I get these days , and I really adore it.

You might have notice that the 60s are back. Well, for a 40s lover like me, its ashame but anyway i think  we could all get something new by mixing styles, even when they're vintage ! And that makes you "unique".

I bought a lovely coat that I wish I could show you -so that means hopefully a new streetstyle shooting soon-, and by buying it, I made a big mistake. I just realize my fiancée might have bought it for my Christmas present... Will find out in two days now !

The thing cool with this type of coat is that , you can wear the MOUMOUTTE on or not, and it still look wonderful. I really love the fact that there are round buttons to fix and you can't deny Victorienne looks so great here.
The make up was made by Dita Make Up, the clothes are from Her Name is Rita , and the photo by the fab Ewa Cieszkowska. Of course, I made the hair !
Details on Cherry Crown.

I love that the sixties coats could be in this material, whether simple like the white one or a bit tweedy.

The Tara Starlet ones are just simply magnificent. I might buy one , one day ... ;)

What do you think do you like it ?
xoxo,
Lorna

Curiosité ... Cabinet de curiosité .

Thats a weird trend Thats right. But when you really think about it , it makes things not so eternal, last a little longer ... Have a new Life.

What could we ask better than having a pour animal damaged in front of us and turn it into something really beautiful.
Well, beauty is singular, and not the same to everyone.
Not that your living room Will obviously end like this ...

But let's have a closer look. Then , tell me if i made you change your mind...

This is a photoshoot With the beautiful ornament from Devine Delinquents, Bristol,(which I really love the fact that everything is unique from What she sells!) that you can see on my FB Professional Page: CherryCrownbyLorna.
I have to thank Solene Brunin as the Make Up Artist, Clara F as the Photographer and Cynthia Piazzini as the somptuous model.

Now Again, another curious shoot With Apolline Durouchoux, and Audrey as the model whos holding this curiousity...

Audrey is interpretating one of the 4 elements... Find out which one here: CherryCrownByLorna
Thanks Leeloo for the backstage shoot and Lila for the make up.

Whats your "pêche mignon" for Autumn 13?
